Player Wellbeing
At happy play, we believe that entertainment should always feel good — never stressful or out of control. This page outlines the tools, guidelines, and support resources available to every Filipino player on our platform. We are committed to providing a safe, fair, and enjoyable experience for all members across the Philippines. Gaming is meant to be a leisure activity, and we want to help you keep it that way. Please read through this page carefully and reach out if you ever need assistance.
Tools & Controls
happy play provides every registered Filipino player with a set of practical tools to help manage their gaming activity. These controls are available directly through your account settings at any time.
You can set a daily, weekly, or monthly deposit limit on your account to help you stay within a budget that is comfortable for you. Once a limit is set, it takes effect immediately and cannot be increased for a cooling-off period of at least 24 hours. Reducing your limit, however, takes effect right away. This tool is designed to give you full control over how much money you put into your account each period. We strongly encourage all Filipino players to set a deposit limit when they first register. It is one of the simplest and most effective ways to keep gaming enjoyable and stress-free.
Losing track of time is one of the most common ways that gaming sessions can become longer than intended. Our session time reminder feature lets you set an alert that notifies you after a chosen period of play — for example, 30 minutes, one hour, or two hours. When the reminder triggers, you can choose to continue or log out and take a break. This feature is available to all players and can be adjusted at any time through your account settings. Taking regular breaks is a healthy habit that helps you stay in control and enjoy the platform at a comfortable pace. We recommend setting a reminder every time you start a new session.
If you feel that you need a short pause from gaming, our Take a Break feature allows you to temporarily suspend your account for a period of your choosing — from 24 hours up to several weeks. During this period, you will not be able to log in, place bets, or access any gaming features on the platform. This is a voluntary tool that you can activate at any time without needing to contact support. It is ideal for players who want a brief reset without committing to a longer exclusion. Your account and balance will remain intact and will be fully accessible once the break period ends.
For players who feel they need a longer break or wish to stop gaming entirely, self-exclusion is available for periods of six months, one year, or permanently. Once self-exclusion is activated, your account will be closed and you will not be able to register a new account during the exclusion period. We take self-exclusion requests very seriously and process them promptly. If you choose permanent self-exclusion, this decision is irreversible. We encourage any player who is concerned about their gaming behaviour to use this tool without hesitation — your wellbeing is always more important than your account activity. Please contact our support team via the FAQ page to initiate self-exclusion.
Know the Signs
Problem gambling can affect anyone, regardless of age, income, or experience. Being aware of the warning signs is the first step towards getting help.
Continuing to play in an attempt to win back money you have already lost is one of the clearest signs of problem gambling behaviour.
Missing work, school, or family commitments because of gaming, or spending money meant for essential expenses on gambling, is a serious warning sign.
Feeling the need to hide how much time or money you spend on gaming from family or friends is a sign that your relationship with gambling may need attention.
Repeatedly trying to cut back or stop gambling but finding yourself unable to do so, even when you want to, is a key indicator of a gambling problem.
Borrowing money, selling possessions, or experiencing significant financial difficulty as a direct result of gambling activity requires immediate attention.
Feeling anxious, irritable, or depressed when not gambling, or using gaming as the primary way to cope with stress or negative emotions, is a warning sign worth addressing.
If you recognise one or more of these signs in yourself or someone you care about, please do not hesitate to reach out for help. You can use the self-exclusion or Take a Break tools described above, or contact our support team through the FAQ page. You may also seek assistance from the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) or a local mental health professional. Remember: asking for help is a sign of strength, not weakness. happy play is here to support you every step of the way.
